Escape from home

As I said earlier, I had two of my very close friends over for a visit. Their names are Madeleine and Lina. It was so much fun. First, during the weekend we went to a YouTube gathering, I don't have any pictures from that though. But after some awesome people and a gig I ended up with three new CDs and a single, plus some new friends. 

After that we decided it was time to go to Doctor Who Experience, being the DW nerds we are. It was so much fun, and it didn't even really matter that we were the only ones over twelve (that went without parents).

 

 We spended a few days primary to shopping, I have no idea how much money Lina spent on clothes, and I honestly don't want to know either. We also went to Brighton over the day, it wasn't that sunny outside but it gave us time to finds some cute cafés and shops. We ended up in a place called The Lanes, I think, which was so adorable!

All in all, it was really fun, especially to see the two again! And now I am back home in Sweden for a little while before going back to London again.

Have finally set up a photowall, about time. Has been meaning to do this for over three months now.
Anyway, two of my best friends are coming to visit me on thursday, I am so excited! Will probably upload more then!

By the sea

This is long overdue. Have had these pictures ready for over a week now, I've just been too lazy to upload them.

So the other week I went to Brighton over the day with two new friends, Anna and Martyna. We were lucky with the weather, for once, and it was really nice and lovely by the sea. It wasn't too much of a trouble to go there, so I'll probably go again soon, and then take better pictures!

Midsummer in London

Celebrated midsummer this Saturday, well technically it was on Friday but since they didn't give us the day off during Friday here in the UK we moved it a day. It was really nice, but I was out so long! Got out of the house around 8.30 to go and meet some friends and make our flower wreath, I think it is called but I could be way off here. It was much harder than we had thought it would be, and it took longer than we had planned. I blame the fact that we couldn't find any wires to use, we had to use sewing thread instead. But in the end we manage to make some. Though they looked pretty funny and we had to readjust them all the time.

People kept looking funny at us when we traveled in to Hyde Park, where the festive were at. But we were all pumped up so we didn't really care. Though there was some really lovely ladies that came up to us and told us we looked pretty.

Then we finally arrived to Hyde Park, an hour late. Poor Mikaela and Maria who had to wait for us an hour. Kind of fail seeing as this was the first time we met them, good impression right?

Anyway, Malin and Sophia had been to a Swedish store and bought some Swedish food and candy. It was so lovely and it made me so homesick!

They had a maypole, think it's called, that we danced around, which was lovely. Though it was a bit pathetic, they were only allowed to have the maximum height as 1,5 metre because of safety reasons. But still, there was a pole and that makes me happy.

And we played kubb. We had out second match against some English people, who didn't know how to play at all. The only reason why we lost was because Sophia accidentally manage to knock off the king. Though the English men hadn't knocked off any of our posts while we only had two left of theirs.

 

Didn't get home until around 1o'clock in the middle of the night, so I had been out around 16 hours straight. Yes, I was a bit dead during the Sunday.

I got hole in my fingers

Slow update is slow. 

Was very economical *cough* today and very cool. But now I am a proud owner of my very own HP House Tie. Even though it was quite expensive I would argue for it being worth it. I have been wantig one since forever, so having onw now before the last film feels pretty sweet.

I am meeting up with Sophia, Malin and one of their friends later today. We are going to see a movie, probably Bad Teacher, and hopefully I get off work in time to meet them for dinner. Otherwise I guess I have to eat something on the run.

I have finally starting to make some friends here. Their names are Malin and Sophia, both are swedish girls. They are really nice, and I've been spending the whole weekend with them.
Yesterday we were planning on going to the movies, but ended up in a pub in the end. Tasted something called Strawberry Beer, which was delicous! A bit exspencive though, but for those days you're feeling rich.

Today we where at Camden Market, a very odd place. I really did like it, because they had pretty much everything there. But still, odd and there was this constant sweet smell, that came from all the people who were getting high.

After that we traveled in to Hyde Park and spent the afternoon relaxing.
It was such a lovely day, teh sun kept shining all day. I think I only saw a few clouds in the sky.

Steady as she goes

Well, not much has happened since I last updated. Mostly I've just been buying things.
I am slowly trying to adapt to living here in London.
On sunday though I will be going on a boattrip with some other Au Pairs, so I'll update more then.
